PROFILE: JANITOR

1. Job Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, sanitation, and safety of all assigned areas in Dinosaur Park. The role ensures that facilities are clean, presentable, and safe for employees and visitors at all times.

2. Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning & Maintenance

1. Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish floors.
2. Clean restrooms, refill supplies, and ensure proper waste disposal.
3. Wipe and disinfect surfaces, tables, handrails, doors, and high-touch areas.
4. Maintain cleanliness of offices, pathways, attractions, and common areas.

Waste Management

1. Collect and segregate garbage (biodegradable, non-biodegradable, recyclables).
2. Ensure timely disposal of trash to designated collection points.
3. Follow proper waste segregation rules inside the Ecozone.

Facility Care

1. Clean windows, walls, and outdoor areas when assigned.
2. Monitor and report damaged lights, leaks, and other maintenance concerns.
3. Assist in simple maintenance tasks when instructed.

Compliance & Safety

1. Follow the 5S System (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
2. Practice proper handling and storage of cleaning materials and chemicals.
3. Adhere to Environmental, Safety, Health, and Sanitation (ESHS) standards.
4. Ensure safety of the public by keeping walkways dry and hazard-free.

3. Qualifications Required

Minimum Qualifications

1. At least High School Graduate (K-12 accepted).
2. With or without experience (training will be provided).
3. Willing to work in Zamboanga Ecozone.
4. Physically fit and able to perform cleaning tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience as janitor or utility staff.
2. Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and tools.
3. Familiarity with 5S and sanitation standards is an advantage.

5. Physical Requirements

6. Working Conditions

1. Shifting schedule depending on park operations
2. May require work on weekends and holidays
3. Indoor and outdoor cleaning assignments
4. Exposure to cleaning agents and varying weather conditions
5. Mostly stationed at Dinosaur Park facilities
