JOB PROFILE: QUALITY ASSURANCE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance to uphold the highest standards of product integrity and compliance at our state-of-the-art Cigarette Manufacturing Facility. This crucial role ensures all production stages, from raw material to finished product, meet strict internal, national, and international quality regulations.
1. Job Summary
The Quality Assurance will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the Quality Management System (QMS) across all stages of cigarette production. This includes inspecting raw materials, auditing in-process manufacturing steps, and verifying the quality of finished cigarette products to ensure full regulatory adherence and consistent product excellence.
2. Key Responsibilities
Quality System & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) specific to tobacco and cigarette manufacturing standards.
- Ensure all quality processes comply with national health regulations and relevant international quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
Inspection & Testing
- Conduct rigorous quality control inspections of incoming raw materials, including tobacco leaf, papers, filters, and packaging materials.
- Perform sampling and testing of in-process goods at key manufacturing stages (e.g., blending, cutting, making, and packing).
- Evaluate finished cigarette products based on physical specifications (e.g., length, weight, draw resistance) and sensory requirements.
Process Monitoring & CAPA
- Audit manufacturing lines and procedures to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Document and investigate all quality non-conformities, deviations, and customer complaints.
- Initiate and follow through on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address root causes of quality issues.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all quality control checks, test results, audits, and compliance activities.
- Prepare detailed quality reports and statistical analyses for management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
Training & Safety
- Train production staff on updated quality standards, hygienic practices, and proper operational procedures.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering strictly to occupational health and safety protocols.
3. Qualifications Required
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- With or without experience in Quality Assurance/Control within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and GMP.
- Excellent technical writing and reporting skills.

- Good visual acuity for detailed product inspection.
6. Working Conditions
- Primarily plant/laboratory-based environment.
- Standard business hours with flexibility required for process monitoring across shifts or during critical production periods.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols (e.g., wearing necessary PPE).
